CavFutures Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that serves as a complimentary entity to CavFutures and is dedicated to community engagement, educational programming related to personal growth and development, mental health advocacy, financial literacy, personal and professional branding and more.
"This is about more than just bringing NIL opportunities to Charlottesville. This foundation will allow us to provide essential programming and support as we help student-athletes to leave their own legacy here."

Our Distinctives
Financial Literacy
Money isn’t everything, but lifetime success is inherently tied to financial success. We want the student-athletes we work with to leave Grounds confident in their ability to manage their money and make intelligent decisions when it comes to spending, saving, & investing. To prepare them to make the most of their money, CavFutures Foundation will provide financial literacy programming including workshops and expert resources.
Mental Health
We believe in a person-first approach to everything we do. This means prioritizing the mental and emotional well-being of the student-athletes we work with. CavFutures Foundation will work to raise awareness for student-athlete mental health, as well as provide accessible resources to support our Hoos in their personal development.
Career Development
CavFutures Foundation is well-connected within UVA’s global network of proud alumni. These Cavaliers are ready to provide mentorship, help today’s student-athletes find internships and post-grad employment, and bring new opportunities to the table. We’re here to make the introduction!
Community Engagement
CavFutures Foundation encourages student-athletes to leverage their NIL in support of the causes and organizations they care most about. Through their involvement with CFF, student-athletes will learn more about the issues facing the Charlottesville area, establish meaningful relationships with non-profits & community organizations, and make service a priority as they build a sustainable legacy.

NEW GRANT PROGRAM FROM CAVFUTURES FOUNDATION BRINGS TOGETHER AREA NON-PROFITS AND UVA STUDENT ATHLETES CavFutures Foundation (CFF), a leading force in UVA student athlete empowerment and development, is thrilled to unveil its innovative grant-giving initiative, "Champions of the Community” on March 5, 2024, in Downtown Charlottesville, VA. This unique effort, brought to you by The Weinberg Foundation, is set to catalyze positive change within Albemarle County and the City of Charlottesville, VA. Led by the team at CavFutures Foundation, “Champions of the Community” is a grant program that aims to connect UVA Athletes with area non-profit organizations to support and nurture community development projects that will enrich the lives of residents and enhance the overall well-being of the region. If you are with a local non-profit interested in participating in this program, we invite you to attend the Info Session and Press Conference and Info Session at 10am on March 5, 2024, hosted by Lo Davis – Executive Director of CavFutures Foundation.
